2017

Inspiration to restore old vintage lanterns came to me from my daily surroundings, interacting with people, my thoughts, and objects, which I see every day in my life. One day in 2017 I decided to take an old item and transform it into a beautiful home decor piece that would serve the same purpose adapted to modern days.

And I have enjoyed the coziness that was created by that restored old hurricane lantern a lot. So I decided to try to provide this feeling to other people. I have opened an Etsy shop and sold my own retro desk lamp and some other old table lamps. Even made a project, which You see in a photo, for Stubby's Gastrogrub & Beer Bar in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

NEXT STEP

But there was a problem. Such old hurricane lanterns are very rare and hard to find. That situation "forced" me, to design and create my own modern desk lamp with the same cozy feeling feature. So I have mixed up some wood, steel, minimalist, industrial, and vintage styles and got these minimalist table lamps, which You can buy at a shop.
